Hallie Hughes Named 2025 Educational Support Professional of the Year

Lansing USD469 is proud to recognize Hallie Hughes, MTSS Intervention Aide at Lansing Intermediate School, as a 2025 Educational Support Professional of the Year. Hallie is known for her enthusiasm, her passion for learning, and her advocacy for the students she serves every day.

Her colleagues praise her as someone who goes above and beyond to support students and constantly works to grow as an educator.

“Mrs. Hughes… is adamant in advocating for the students at Lansing Intermediate School and is always willing to provide her support to improve the learning of our students,” one nominator shared.

Hallie is not only committed to her current role—she is also preparing to take the next step in her professional journey by becoming a licensed teacher.

“Mrs. Hughes is motivated to improve as an educator and seeks out opportunities for new experiences or gaining feedback from her colleagues and supervisors.”

She was selected to participate in the first cohort of Lansing USD469's Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, a competitive program that supports classified staff in earning their teaching license.

“We are pleased Mrs. Hughes has decided to make education not just her passion, but her career!”

Hallie’s compassion, determination, and student-centered mindset make her an essential part of the Lansing Intermediate School team and a model for aspiring educators across the district.

Hallie will be honored at the upcoming Lansing USD469 Honors Breakfast, generously sponsored by the Lansing Educational Foundation (LEF). In recognition of her outstanding service, she will also receive a grant to support her work with students at Lansing Intermediate School.
