The LINCS team has been hard at work preparing for their highly anticipated craft show since late September. This event is a team effort, with eight students and five staff members dedicating their time and creativity to make it happen.
For the past 17 years, LINCS has hosted annual—and occasionally bi-annual—craft shows, bringing our community together in celebration of creativity and collaboration. This year’s craft show will be open to both the district and the public on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They are currently accepting cash or checks only.
The group continues to operate thanks to generous donations and proceeds from LINCs craft and bakery sales. These funds directly support our student activities and future LINCS events.
LINCS (Learning Independence in Natural Community Settings) is a special education program located in Lansing Intermediate School, designed for young adults aged 18-21 who have met their high school graduation requirements but are working to complete their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. The program focuses on helping students reach their maximum potential for independence by teaching life skills such as money management, self-care, cooking, vocational training, and community participation. Through collaboration with families, local businesses, and community agencies, LINCS empowers students to become responsible, informed, and productive citizens.
