Martina Crisp with Admin

Lansing USD469 is pleased to announce that Martina Crisp, the Registrar at Lansing Middle School, has been named one of the 2024 Educational Support Professionals of the Year. Mrs. Crisp will be recognized at this year's Lansing Educational Foundation Honors Breakfast on Friday, May 3rd, where she will a grant for $250 to be used at Lansing Middle School.

Mrs. Crisp was nominated by several of her peers who had this to say about her:

"Martina is incredible at going above and beyond in making sure we are doing everything we are supposed to when it comes to state assessment preparation and action. While it is not her main job role, she constantly helps teachers and registrars in other buildings to log into their state assessment portal, upload rosters and test records, and troubleshoot any and all issues.

She is the definition of someone who deserves recognition for going above and beyond for our district!"

"Martina should be recognized for all of her hard work. Martina is always at school before everyone else and stays late most days. She is always willing to help everyone, including others from the high school down to the preschool program. She has taken many of her work hours to help others understand Skyward and help answer other questions regarding school programs. She is very caring when it comes to students and families. She goes out of her way to help students enroll in our school. She helps families in more ways than just enrolling students; she also helps set up services if she can. She reaches out to the counseling department when she feels like a family could use extra support and/or supplies. She is willing to help support the counseling department when we are overwhelmed with supporting students. Martina is more than willing to support staff members in the middle school but also in other schools, including being a sounding board as needed. She is willing to help with just about anything else that needs to be done, from lunch supervision and student of the month recognition to helping with attendance and in the front office. Martina is the person you can depend on to get your questions answered. If she cannot answer, she will find out for you. She is willing to do what is needed to help not only the students but also the staff. The middle school would be lost without Martina to help out."

The Educational Support Professional of the Year award recognizes the contributions of non-teaching staff in schools and celebrates their vital role in supporting students, teachers, and the overall learning environment. Mrs. Crisp's nomination and selection as this year's winner highlight the critical work that our registrars do daily to keep our schools running smoothly.

Congratulations, Martina Crisp, on being named the 2024 Educational Support Professional of the Year!
