Student Art

March is Youth Art Month, and we’re continuing to celebrate the creativity and achievements of our students! Today’s Art Spotlight takes us to Lansing High School, where four talented student artists were selected to represent our district at the prestigious Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art Regional High School Exhibition.

This annual exhibition brings together 151 students from 31 schools, showcasing outstanding artwork across nine different categories. Each high school art teacher can select up to five works of art to enter, making it a highly competitive and inspiring event.

Lansing High School was proudly represented by:

  • Kaitlyn Porcelli (10th grade)

  • Bennett Voight (12th grade)

  • Nico Rodriguez (12th grade)

  • Zadie Niblock (10th grade)

We’re thrilled to share that Zadie Niblock earned an Honorable Mention for her outstanding artwork—an incredible achievement given the level of talent in this competition!

The Albrecht-Kemper Regional High School Exhibition is open to the public from February 25 – April 14 at the Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art in St. Joseph, MO. If you're looking for an opportunity to experience remarkable student artwork, this exhibition is a must-see!

Congratulations to all of our student artists for their creative excellence and to our high school art teacher Jason Barnes for his leadership!

Stay tuned for more Youth Art Month Spotlights as we continue to highlight the artistic talent in our schools.
