The Lansing ACE Mentor Program has once again demonstrated its excellence and commitment to preparing students for future success! On December 10, the program was awarded the "Design Excellence-Overall Winner Award" at the Greater Kansas City Design Competition. This event took place at Populous Architectures' World Headquarters on the Plaza.
This marks the second year in a row that the Lansing ACE Mentor Program has achieved this honor. The program's consistent success is a testament to our students' and mentors' talent, hard work, and dedication.
A special acknowledgment goes to Megan Warner, a 2003 Lansing High School graduate and Architect at Hollis-Miller Architects. As the program's lead mentor, Megan has been instrumental in guiding our students to success. She is assisted by Glenn Bauer of Whiting-Turner Construction and Robert Wallace of Turner Construction.

The ACE Mentor Program (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) allows high school students to explore careers in these dynamic industries through hands-on projects and mentorship from professionals. The program equips students with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in their future endeavors.
This achievement aligns seamlessly with the goals of Lansing USD469's Strategic Plan, particularly our commitment to the Whole Child Approach to Learning and fostering collaboration and communication. The program provides meaningful opportunities that connect students to their passions, develop critical skills, and prepare them for success beyond high school. By working with dedicated mentors and participating in real-world projects, our students experience firsthand the value of learning in action.
Congratulations to the students and mentors of the Lansing ACE Mentor Program on this outstanding achievement!
