We are proud to highlight the achievements of our high school students who are making significant strides in their educational journeys through the KCKCC Pioneer Career Center. Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathways offer students invaluable hands-on experience and skill development, preparing them for successful futures in various fields.
This week, we're highlighting two students who are excelling in Criminal Justice and Culinary Arts.
Draven Savidge – Criminal Justice Program
Draven Savidge and his classmates in the Criminal Justice program recently tackled an important real-world challenge: suspect tactics and perimeter containment. During this training, students practiced the critical skill of securing a perimeter in a suspect apprehension scenario. These hands-on exercises equip them with the techniques they’ll need for their future careers, fostering teamwork and strategic thinking—skills that are essential for successful law enforcement professionals.
Gracie Sholey – Culinary Arts Program
Gracie Sholey has been channeling her creativity through the Culinary Arts program, where students are embracing the festive season by carving pumpkins. This fun yet skill-building activity encourages teamwork, imagination, and precision, as each student transforms a simple pumpkin into a culinary masterpiece. The process not only sparks creativity but also enhances their fine motor skills, blending artistry with culinary technique.
Our students continue to shine in their respective programs, gaining valuable experience and sharpening the skills that will serve them in their future careers.
