Culinary Arts Student

Lansing USD469 is proud to spotlight Grace Sholey, a Lansing High School student enrolled in the KCKCC Pioneer Career Center’s Culinary Arts Program, part of our district’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) offerings.

This week, Grace and her fellow culinary students had the opportunity to put their skills to the test, drawing inspiration from their recent visit to the Shatto Milk Company. The students crafted an assortment of creative ice cream flavors. Grace created an orange cream ice cream enhanced with orange zest.

The Culinary Arts Program emphasizes hands-on experience, providing students like Grace with the tools and opportunities to explore the culinary world while refining their cooking methods and techniques.

Through programs like this, students are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in a variety of career paths. We look forward to showcasing more updates from students enrolled in the KCKCC Pioneer Career Center throughout the school year.
