Parents as Teachers

USD 469 Parent as Teachers was awarded the prestigious Blue Ribbon endorsement from Parents as Teachers National Center, making the program one of the top performing home visiting affiliates. Lansing’s program went through a one year quality endorsement process reviewing the program’s implementation of evidence-based Parents as Teachers model with fidelity. A program must meet 75% of the quality standards. USD 469 Parents as Teachers met 90% of those quality standards.

"I could not be prouder of PAT's team of Parent Educators for all of their hard work and dedication to the families of USD469," said Kelly Faulk, the Lansing Parents as Teachers Coordinator. "It is a privilege to serve all the amazing families and students of USD 469."

Parents as Teachers includes home visits, group connections, child screenings, connections to community resources, and playgroups. The program equips parents with knowledge and resources to prepare their children for a stronger start in life and greater success in school.

Parents as Teachers currently has openings for new families. You can contact Kelly Faulk, Program Coordinator, at kelly.faulk@usd469.net or 913-297-0880.
