LHS Choir Students

The Lansing High School Choirs were proudly represented at the Kansas Music Educators Association (KMEA) All-State Convention in Wichita, and we are thrilled to celebrate their incredible accomplishments!

After a competitive audition process—featuring three prepared pieces and sight-singing—eight of our talented singers earned spots in the Kansas All-State Choir. Please join us in congratulating A.J. Allen, Joseph Hiraoka, Jackson Bagby, Ayden Ellington, Branden Jackson, Ella Garrett, Carson Zimmerman, and Caden Pierce.

A special shoutout goes to Carson Zimmerman, who achieved the impressive milestone of being selected to the All-State Choir for three consecutive years—a remarkable accomplishment and testament to his dedication and talent.

Our Women’s Ensemble was selected to perform at the convention as an exemplar choir—the highest honor at the state level. Their journey to this moment included collaborative concerts in Lawrence with the KU Choirs and a performance for the LHS faculty. All of this led up to their concert in Wichita, where they earned a standing ovation for their performance.

This marks the third time in the past four years that an LHS choir has been selected to perform at the KMEA Convention.

Bravo to all our performers!
