Lansing USD 469 is thrilled to celebrate Brooks Linaweaver as our Student of the Month for his outstanding leadership and kindness.
Brooks has become a shining example of responsibility and generosity in his school community. Without being asked, he assists the custodial staff during lunch, wiping tables, picking up trash, and ensuring the cafeteria stays clean.
"It is no secret that a K-1 lunchroom can be a messy place, but Brooks is helping change that every day!" his teacher shared. "He simply wants to help, and several staff members have noticed his kindness and initiative."
Brooks’ commitment to helping others doesn’t stop in the lunchroom. In the classroom, he takes the initiative to keep the space tidy, pushing in chairs, cleaning up spills, and even assisting with the classroom store each Friday.
His teacher summed it up best: "I am very proud of the way Brooks has stepped up to make our school better, and I am even more proud to call him my student."
