January is School Board Appreciation Month, and we are honored to recognize the incredible dedication and service of our Lansing USD469 Board of Education members. These individuals work tirelessly to guide our schools and support our students, families, and staff.
Jeff Bollin, Member: A lifelong Leavenworth County resident and Project Manager, Jeff joined the board in 2022. He is committed to making Lansing a district others look up to.
Kerry Brungardt, Member: Former Lansing Middle School principal and current Lansing City Council member, Kerry was elected in 2023. He is passionate about supporting the community and school staff.
Amy Cawvey, Member: A dedicated community leader and advocate for fiscal responsibility, Amy joined the board in 2023 and brings experience in education and community engagement.
Pete Im, Vice President: An Army veteran and Assistant Professor, Pete was elected in 2023. He is focused on valuing education and supporting educators to strengthen our community.
Mary Wood, Member: A lifelong Lansing resident and retired orthodontic professional, Mary has served on the board since 2021. She is dedicated to serving the community and supporting Lansing schools.
Kirsten Workman, Member: A registered nurse and educator, Kirsten is passionate about volunteering and serving her community.
Aaron Yoakam, President: A Lansing native and current BOE president, Aaron has served on the board since 2019. He is committed to supporting Lansing's educational growth.
