Lansing USD469 is proud to announce our November 2024 staff member of the month, Mr. Dalton Gunnels, who was recognized during our regular board meeting on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Dalton serves as both our Crosswalk Attendant and Lunchroom Attendant at the elementary school. Dalton was nominated by an elementary teacher who had this to say about him:
"I want to take a moment to express thanks for all of Dalton's hard work and dedication as both a crosswalk and lunchroom attendant. His commitment to the safety and well-being of our students and staff does not go unnoticed. Whether it's guiding students safely across the crosswalk, quickly moving cones to allow staff to park, or helping to ensure the cleanliness of the lunchroom, he handles each task with efficiency and professionalism.
I especially appreciate Dalton's patience when dealing with challenging situations, including the occasional disrespect from hurried parents. His ability to continue to be diligent and caring in the face of adversity is truly commendable, and it sets a strong example for our students."
Dalton, thank you for being a steady and positive influence in our school community. Your hard work and dedication truly make a difference.
