On Wednesday, November 6, the University of Saint Mary’s volleyball team brought excitement to our Early Childhood Center as part of “Work-Together Wednesday.” The players greeted students with high-fives as they walked in, as part of a growing community partnership with the University of Saint Mary’s Welcome Wednesdays program. This initiative focuses on community outreach and fostering servant leadership.
Under the leadership of Coach Amy Beall, Saint Mary’s volleyball team is committed to making a positive impact beyond the court. Coach Beall actively involves her athletes in community initiatives that emphasize servant leadership and introduce students to a variety of career paths. Through these experiences, students learn to appreciate the value of giving back and the impact that small acts of kindness can have on a community.
The “Work-Together Wednesday” event provided an opportunity for our young learners to witness the power of teamwork and community service in action, while also feeling supported by members of their wider community. We are grateful to the University of Saint Mary’s volleyball team for their dedication to serving as role models for our students and for making this a memorable day for all involved.
