Congratulations to our Lansing High School Class of 2024! We are incredibly proud of their achievements throughout their time in Lansing USD469.
Below are some highlights from this incredible group of young adults:
ACT Composite- 20.4, 95% took the exam (State Average- 19.4, 74% took the exam)
42% will be attending a 4-Year college or university
27% will attend a 2-Year/Technical College
1% will enter the military
30% will enter the workforce
Achievements in the Fine Arts:
Andressa Prieto won State Oratory.
Alyssa Parker and Jack Corrigan are Academic All-Americans.
Jack Corrigan is ranked 4th in the state in Speech and Debate overall.
LHS Legacy Singers selected to perform at the KS Music Educator's Association convention.
All choirs earned "straight I (one)" ratings at the State Large Group Festival Contest for the 4th year in a row (12 KSHSAA plaques in 4 years).
For the fourth year in a row, the choir set the LHS record for the number of students selected for the District and State Choir.
15 students in All-State Choir
Legacy Singers performed for the Kansas State BOE and for the ceremony honoring the 70th anniversary of Brown vs BOE decision.
LHS Choirs performed at the opening ceremony of the NASCAR race at Kansas Speedway.
LHS Choir featured on TV for NBC Sounds of the Holidays for 6th year in a row
Three All-State Band members are all three-year All-Staters.
The LHS band performed at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago.
Multiple students received superior ratings at State Solo/Small Ensemble.
Multiple students were recognized at Highland Art Day for Best of Show and Artistic Excellence.
